I captured this image of an endangered Snail Kite accidentally ( I thought it was a Northern Harrier) in Viera Wetlands Florida last month. I had never seen a Snail Kite except in Arthur Morris's wonderful photo. I felt very fortunate to see this beautiful bird. This particular Kite is a male and I hope he has a mate. They only live in a very small area in the marshes of central Florida and are not usually found in Viera.
